Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees Approve Pay Increase

At the April 20, 2022, Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees Meeting, the board unanimously approved a 3 percent salary increase for all staff for the 2022-23 school year.

"On behalf of the Board of Trustees, we offer our sincere appreciation to our teachers and staff for their hard work and dedication to students and their families. We are grateful that we can offer all staff a 3 percent pay increase for the 22-23 school year," said Board President Crystal Phalen.

The 3% increase is based on the midpoint of the salary structure. The district's salary structure is in our compensation plan.

"As Superintendent of a fast-growth district, our enrollment numbers increase almost daily. I see our teachers and staff working harder every day to make Jarrell ISD a safe, meaningful, academic environment for all. We applaud their work and the difference they are making in our students' lives, both academically and emotionally. Giving a pay increase is another way to show our Cougar family how much we value them," said Superintendent Dr. Toni Hicks.

A budget workshop is scheduled for May 4th to discuss additional stipend opportunities for employee retention and recruitment.

The pay increase goes into effect at the beginning of the 22-23 school year.
