Jarrell ISD has established new Attendance Zone boundaries. The district's Board of Trustees approved the new zones at their February 15, 2023, board meeting based on the recommendation from the Attendance Zone Committee. Out of three options, the committee recommended Plan 1 for the new boundaries, which will go into effect for the 23 - 24 school year when Double Creek Elementary School opens its doors.
The Attendance Zone Committee studied the three plans after reviewing enrollment data and anticipated growth. The committee was open to the public and convened for the first time in October 2022 and finalized their recommendation at their January 17, 2023 meeting. Zonda Education, a third-party company, designed the three plans based on the on-campus student population, future home sites, growth, and anticipated enrollment data.
