Jarrell ISD Hires New Police Officer

Jarrell ISD has hired Stephanie Herring as a new officer with the Jarrell ISD Police Department.

Most recently, Officer Herring worked for the Austinphoto of Stephanie Herring Community College Police Department. She has a background in criminal justice and as a first responder. Her experience aligns with the district's ongoing efforts to support student safety, mental health, and positive community engagement.

"Officer Herring has strong ties to the school district and is devoted to protecting our students and staff. She has experience in emergency medical services and law enforcement and a master's degree in child and adolescent behavior. That's a terrific combination. Our job as a Jarrell ISD Police Officer is to ensure staff and student safety. But it's also about building relationships with children. That trust factor is essential. We're thrilled she joined our force,” said Jarrell ISD Chief of Police Sharif Mezayek.

Officer Stephanie Herring has a bachelor's degree from Texas Lutheran University. Her master's degree is from Capella University.
