The Igo Family: father Larry (age 45), mother Joan (age 46), daughter Audrey (age 17) and twin sons John and Paul (age 15).

On May 27, 1997, Central Texas experienced an unprecedented bout of severe weather. The Jarrell community was struck by an F-5 tornado, one of the strongest storms ever reported. Twenty-seven people, including 13 children, lost their lives to the storms that day. In February 2019, the Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees voted to name its second elementary campus in after the Igos, a family of five all lost to the tornado that day.
