Welcome

  • The Jarrell Elementary School Library is an exciting place to be! Students come to the library on a rotating basis on our special schedule. Students will be able to choose books during this time as well as many other exciting activities.

We conduct research on our databases.
We conduct author studies from 1st through 5th.
We have age-appropriate technology lessons and learn Digital Citizenship.
We have kindness lessons that celebrate literature, empathy and modeling.
We schedule special STEM/STEAM lessons focusing on engineering, math and science.
We participate in Makerspaces K-5th with age-appropriate activities that stretch the imagination.

JES Library has two book fairs a year; one in the spring and one in the fall. We close early on those book fair Fridays at 12 pm. If you would like to volunteer, please contact Mrs. Carbajal. We could always use your help and it is always appreciated! We have two types of volunteers. Library volunteers who help with maintaining the library, like shelving and tasks. We also have book fair volunteers who help with putting up and pulling down the book fair, helping the parents and students and running the registers.
