Cliff Tschoerner Named New Place 1 Trustee

The Jarrell Independent School District Board of Trustees has appointed Cliff Tschoerner as the new Place 1 Trustee. He replaces Troy Clawson, who resigned in October.

Mr. Tschoerner was sworn in at the March 29th Board of Trustees Special Meeting. He was sworn into office with his wife and three boys by his side. "I grew up in Jarrell. I graduated from Jarrell High School. Now, my kids are students at Jarrell ISD. I'm eager to help our school community grow even stronger," he said.

Place 1 represents parts of Sonterra along the west side of I-35. Mr. Tschoerner and his wife Becky have been married for more than twenty years. They have three boys. One is an elementary school student. Another is a middle school student. The other is a graduate of Jarrell High School. Mr. Tschoerner has the heart of a civil severance and is a proud supporter of the public school system.

"Cliff Tschoerner is a passionate leader who will serve our students, community, and staff with integrity," said Board President Crystal Phalen. "He has lived in this community for most of his life. His family is a product of our school system. He has a heart for public education. We know he will be a terrific representative for Place 1."

Cliff Tschoerner will serve as the Place 1 Trustee until the November 2023 election, when he'll have to run for the position formally.
