Superintendent Dr. William Chapman announced his selection of James Larremore as the new principal of Jarrell High School.

"We are very pleased to welcome Mr. Larremore to Jarrell High School," said Chapman. "Mr. Larremore is an experienced high school administrator. He will be a great addition to the JISD family. His belief in equitable outcomes for all students made him the ideal candidate for this important position."

Larremore will begin his new role on June 3.

"I am excited to build upon the culture at Jarrell High School and further the school's reputation as a center for innovation, high expectations and collaboration," said Larremore.

Larremore is coming to JISD from Leander ISD, where he's served as an associate principal at Tom Glenn High School since 2016. From 2014-2016, Larremore worked as assistant principal at Vandegrift High School. Before moving into administration, he taught social studies and coached for four years at VHS. Larremore also taught and coached in Wimberley ISD from 2006-2010.

Larremore earned a bachelor's of arts degree in history from Texas State University in 2006 and earned a master of education administration degree from Texas A&M Commerce in 2014.
