First Day of School

The first day of school is Wednesday, August 17, 2022. Parents/Guardians of all returning students will need to verify their child's information including address and emergency contact information before the start of the new school year by logging into Ascender. Parents registering/enrolling their child can also log into the Ascender or call the campus their child will be attending. Here are the attendance zones

Anonymous Alerts & Bully Prevention

Jarrell ISD has a zero tolerance policy for bullying. Texas Legislature, Senate Bill 179 - "David's Law" was passed on September 1, 2017 and makes any type of bullying behavior a Class A misdemeanor. Students, parents, and community members can use Anonymous Alerts to report concerning and/or illegal behavior.

Bus routes/schedules are listed in Smart Tag. If your child needs transportation, please sign up and fill out our Bus Rider Information Form. These forms and other information, including Smart Tag Registration can be found on our Transportation homepage.

Child Nutrition

This school year Jarrell ISD is required to transition back to Free and Reduced-Price Lunch Meals. Application forms can be found on our Food Services page. All families are encouraged to fill out the application. Even if you don't qualify, you could be eligible for other assistance. We'll provide application assistance on the following dates and times:
-Aug. 4th from 10-12 at the JISD Annex (Food Pantry)
-Aug. 6th from 9-11 at the JISD Annex (Farmers' Market)
-Aug. 6th from 9-11 at the JMS Gym (School Supply Distribution)

Electronic Devices

Students in grades 6-12 are issued a Chromebook the first week of school. The Chromebooks are property of Jarrell ISD. Students must adhere to the district's rules and policies for these devices. More details will be given when the devices are distributed. Read our Acceptable Use Policy for more information.
