This is the image for the news article titled How Parents Can Help Ease Traffic Congestion at Elementary CampusesJarrell ISD is aware of the traffic concerns around Jarrell Elementary and Igo Elementary. Staff members are working on processes to ease the high traffic congestion during drop-off and pick-up.

We understand it takes a few weeks to establish and maintain the routine. Thank you for arriving at school on time and helping your child start the day right. Instruction begins at 7:30 a.m. This means if you arrive at school after 7:30 a.m., your child will be marked tardy. Three tardies equals one absence.

To help further streamline processes, please consider the following morning and afternoon procedures for each campus:

If your child arrives on campus before our doors open at 7:00 a.m., please note there is no adult supervision. Therefore, the safest place for them to wait is on our front porch.

Due to safety reasons, the parking lot to the south (or right) of our building will not be open. We are continuing to look at our systems and work to improve them.

In the afternoon, this parking lot will be closed beginning on Monday, August 23rd. Car rider drop-off and pick-up is at the back of our building off CR 313.

For the safety of our students, please do not park along the street in front of our building waiting for your child. More cars and traffic through the area at this time creates an unsafe environment for our students. Please protect our walkers and use the car rider lane for drop-off and pick-up.

Please pull forward to the very front of the line. If a staff member is not there, a number 1 indicates the front of the line.
Stay in one line for morning drop off. This is next to the sidewalk curb. We do not double stack cars in the morning.
Your students should be ready to go when you stop your car. Backpacks are in hands or on backs and you have said your goodbyes and reminders.

At no time do parents need to exit their vehicle. If your child needs assistance, a staff member on duty will help them.
If you arrive at school after 7:30 a.m. you need to park in the front lot and walk your child into the school, and he or she will be marked tardy.

Beginning Wednesday, September 1, all cars must have the permanent, green, plastic tag with your child's name and family number labeled. If you do not have this tag, you must park in the front lot and pick up your child in the front office. This is for safety purposes. We will not release a child to someone without the car tag.
Please stay in the line you choose first. Changing lines causes delays for everyone. If you move lines, this alters the entire system and causes confusion to the staff members in the gym gathering students and guiding them to the correct pick-up space.

Help your child memorize your family number. This will make retrieving your child quicker. This number will remain your family number while you are attending Igo.

If you arrive for pick up after 3:30 p.m. you need to park in the front lot and pick up your child in the front office. Thank you!
Thank you for your understanding as we work to improve our processes. We greatly appreciate your partnership and support.
