The Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees approved a budget of $27 million for the 2021-2022 year at its June 16 Regular Board Meeting. The approved budget is a balanced budget.
Overall expenditures will increase by $3 million, which can be attributed to the hiring of 26 additional positions due to growth, portable classrooms at Igo Elementary, an increase rate for hourly employees, and a 2 percent compensation increase for all employees.
The Board will vote on a tax rate during the August meeting, with the projected rate of $0.9266 per $100 valuation for M&O and $0.500 per $100 valuation for I&S.
