Legacy Brick Walkway

A signature feature of this milestone is the Legacy Brick Walkway, created using historic Mexia bricks salvaged from the interior of the original 1916 Building. These bricks have been intentionally preserved and reintroduced to honor the generations of families, students, alumni, and educators who shaped Jarrell ISD.

The walkway serves as a permanent connection between Jarrell’s past and future—transforming pieces of the original building into a shared space for remembrance and pride.

Starting in August 2026: Order an Engraved Legacy Brick
Community members, alumni, families, and businesses are invited to adopt an engraved brick in the Legacy Walkway.

An engraved brick is a lasting way to:

  • Honor your family’s connection to Jarrell ISD
  • Recognize a student, graduate, or educator
  • Celebrate a business or organization
  • Become part of the 1916 Building’s 110‑year legacy
