2025 Attendance Zone Committee
At the February 17th school board meeting, the Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees voted to approve new attendance zones. The new boundaries were developed by a dedicated committee comprised of staff, parents, and community members. Based on feedback and votes from the community, parents, and staff, there was overwhelming support for Attendance Zone Plan 4.
As our district continues to grow, updating attendance zones is necessary to balance enrollment, maintain manageable class sizes, and fully utilize our campuses. The approved plan reflects months of committee meetings, reviews, and discussions.
Attendance zone maps are now available for families to review. These new boundaries apply only to elementary schools. They go into effect in August for the 2026-27 school year.

In October 2025, Jarrell ISD put out a call for parents, staff, and stakeholders to participate in the 2025 Attendance Zone Committee. In preparation for the opening of Berry Creek Elementary School, the district has to examine and update its elementary school attendance zones. The district established a timeline that outlines the process.
The first meeting of the Attendance Zone Committee was held on November 12, 2025. Since then, the committee has been diligently reviewing and analyzing information, including enrollment numbers and the locations of planned future communities.
Based on those conversations and research, the attendance zone committee identified their top two drafts, draft #3 and draft #4. These drafts, along with the current zones, can be viewed by clicking this link.
