Board Election

The Jarrell ISD Board of Trustees is composed of seven members who are elected to serve three-year overlapping terms without compensation. Elections are held each year in November.

2026 General Election Key Filing Dates

  • Election Date: November 3, 2026
  • First day to file for a place on the ballot: Saturday, July 18, 2026
  • Last day to File for a Place on the Ballot:  Monday, August 17, 2026, at 5:00 p.m.
  • Last day to File a Declaration of Write-in Candidacy:  Friday, August 21, 2026

Required Website Postings for General Election 2026

  • Internet Posting Requirements for Political Subdivisions (Form 1-20) 
  • Notice of Deadline to File and Application for Place on the Ballot Cities, School Districts, and Other Political Subdivisions (Form 2-1) *Forms will be available at a later date
  • Order of General Elections for other Political Subdivisions (Form 1-3) *Forms will be available at a later date

During the Election (Optional):

  • Amendment: Appointment of a Campaign Treasurer by a Candidate (Form ACTA) (Instruction Guide)   
    • Required if treasurer's information changes.
  • Code of Fair Campaign Practices (Form CFCP)
    • A voluntary pledge to uphold fair and ethical campaign conduct. 

After the Election (Optional):

  • Candidate/Officeholder Report of Unexpected Contributions (Form C/OH-UC)
    • Required if campaign funds remain after the election or term of service.
