News & Announcements


Representative from Balfour will be meeting with 2015 letter winners for their letterman's jackets during both lunches on Tuesday, October 13th in the High School Cafeteria. Order blanks are available from their coach. The school district pays for the jacket and the student athlete is responsible for any additional patches.


Ingram Tom Moore is the site of the 2015 District Cross Country Meet. The meet will start at 12 noon with the JV Boys first, followed by Varsity Boys, JV Girls, Varsity Girls, 7th Girls/Boys and finishing up with 8th Girls/Boys (MS Boys and Girls run together). The first race starts at 12 and the others follow with 30 minute intervals.

District Improvement Plan

Jarrell Independent School District encourages community members and business representatives to serve on the District Improvement Plan Committee. Note from the Nurse...

For the safety of all students, no medications are to be transported from home to school or school to home on a school bus unless by a written physicians approval. Any written approval from physicians must be on file at the nurses office prior to student transporting medication on a school bus.

Per our Student Handbook “All medication, whether prescription or nonprescription, must be kept in the nurse’s office and administered by the nurse or another authorized district employee, unless the student is authorized to possess his or her own medication because of asthma or a severe allergy as described below or as otherwise allowed by law.”

Superintendent's Message

Dr. Bill Chapman has served as the superintendent of Jarrell ISD since July of 2012.  Prior to that he served as an administrator in Coldspring-Oakhurst CISD, Willis ISD, and Huntsville ISD. He was also a teacher/coach in Huntsville ISD and Corpus Christi ISD.
Dr. Chapman has a B.A. in History from the University of Texas-San Antonio, and a Masters of Educational Administration and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership from Sam Houston State University.
Dr. Chapman also serves as an Adjunct Professor for SHSU.
